My favorite spool holder concept - using it on all my printers.
This remix includes:
1. A mount for a 2020 profile
2. The cone attaches on two 608 bearings, and has a hole for a friction adjustment screw
With two 608 bearings even the 3kg spools will rotate very smoothly. Sometimes, especially with a new spool, too easy rotation may lead to filament escaping the spool and tangling around the 8mm thread rod. Thus the primitive friction adjustment system :) .
Instructions:
- Print cones without support.
- There are two rings in the base. Remove them with pliers after the print and make sure to keep the smaller one. The bigger one is intended as a support and is to be disposed. The smaller one inside it is a spacer, that will be depressed by the friction screw (if used) to adjust the ease of rotation by adding friction with the thread rod
- Insert one 608 - should be a snug fit, if not use painter's tape or glue to fix as there is no cover included in this remix
