Conversation Heart Purse / Bag (Mom & Me Scale-Friendly) This conversation heart purse is a playful, wearable accessory inspired by classic Valentine candy hearts. The design balances cute aesthetics with real-world printability, making it accessible for home makers while still producing a functional, eye-catching result. The purse features an open-top design with no closure, giving it a clean silhouette and a lightweight, grab-and-go feel. It works well as a costume accessory, themed bag, photo prop, or fun statement piece for Valentine’s Day and beyond. Design Rationale (Why This Is a Multi-Part Print) Although this bag could technically be printed as a single piece, doing so would require significant internal and external supports due to the open top, curved interior walls, and heart-shaped overhangs. Those supports would increase print time, waste filament, and be extremely difficult to remove cleanly from inside the bag—often damaging surface finish. To avoid this, the model was intentionally designed as a multi-part print, improving efficiency, reliability, and final quality. Design & Assembly The bag consists of: A base section A top section (with either a decorative “LOVE” heart or a blank heart option) A printed chain/strap (optional and scale-matched)-use as many as you see fit The top includes integrated alignment pins that snap into the base to form the complete bag. This snap-fit design allows each piece to print flat on the build plate, typically without supports. Because printer tolerances vary, a small amount of super glue may be added during assembly for extra durability—especially for larger prints or frequent use. Printability & Accessibility This approach: Eliminates heavy support requirements Reduces filament waste and print time Improves surface finish Increases success rates across different printers Each component prints cleanly and reliably, making the model beginner-friendly while still offering flexibility for experienced makers.
