Coolaroo Sun Shade Replacement Cap

This is a replacement cap for the rod that holds down Coolaroo sun shades, where the bungie attaches. Should fit snug, will need to tap the cap into the rod.

It should be substantially stronger and better suited for higher wind.

Print flat side down with supports.

I also printed with 4 walls for extra strength as the wind can be kind of crazy here.

We'll see how it does in the sun. Maybe a plastic other than PLA would be a good choice, but so far so good in full sun!

Update: Installed under full tropical sun and heat, they have withstood several wind events over the past six months and are still going strong. I have had no issues with the PLA plastic, which remains neither brittle nor worn.
