This is a cooling/warming plate in one. When set on cool it provides a cold surface for a few minutes, and when set to heat it has enough power to melt butter and keep things warm using only USB power.
The bottom is a solid aluminum cylinder w/ a thin copper plate sandwiching a thermoelectric heat pump secured with thermal epoxy. Other metals can be substituted and will alter performance.
