Designed to prevent my faculty from breaking the Cornell Grating Slides. Simple mount holds a 4"x2.35" lantern slide.
The slide mounted in the images is commonly referred to as the Cornell Grating, or Cornell Plate. The Cornell plate has single slits of different width, double slits of different widths and different spacing, and a grating section. It is used for optics demonstrations and lab exercises. The holder is designed with 1 or 2 attachment points. Mounts to lab support rod for easy alignment with laser or other light source.
The knurled screw heads will connect to a 1/4-20 hex head bolt. 1.5" length. A 1/4-20 nut can be placed in the slot to better secure the screw.
