Couch/Bed Storage Tray

UPDATE 3/10/25: This update adjusts the partition thickness between compartments, and makes the snack tray fit equally well between glass, plastic and stainless steel version of the IKEA food container. Now the container will drop down into a recess, and a finger slot has been added for removal._______________________This storage tray enables easy access to snacks, drinks, remote controls and the like from the bed or couch. The wide base helps to keep the box stable. I wanted to design the tray around a food-safe container to allow snack storage with a removable, cleanable insert. I settled on the IKEA 365+ food storage container in the 25oz/.75l size as it should be obtainable by most. There is also a stainless steel version of this container if you prefer, or if you cannot obtain the plastic one. The glass version also fits, but sits a little proud of the top face.
