If someone else has already figured out this trick and posted something about it please let me know in the comments and I will add their link to this page. However I have not run across this solution in my findings.Counterbore with no support (0.2mm layer, PLA), edit to scale trickI had a design that was difficult to 3D print without supports and needed mounting holes for screws. I tried many different ideas but ultimately I had to use counterbore hole which would be oriented with the counterbore on the build plate. Since I don't like using supports I printed it without supports and it turned into a mess. The layers where the counterbore and screw clearance hole meet turned into a ball of spaghetti. Eventually it corrects itself but it looks and feels terrible. I figured there has to be a way to get this to work. (Yes I am aware I could have used flat heads and created 45degree walls, or a different method of fastening. However at the end of the day, I kept coming back to a counter
