when it comes to adjusting couplings' height you mainly see these sold or made for Kadee couplers, and for a good reason. This style of coupling is very common on most American Ho scale models and has a special NEM coupling made for NEM-fitted models.

As a model railroaded who makes most of his models, ensuring that all of them have a consistent height is important for coupling. too low it may not couple right, too high it may not stay coupled.

I've found that British Bachmann models (such as the Branchline or T&F lines) stick to around 8mm coupling height, however, I found an image from Kadee that shows some NEM pockets set to be set at 8.5mm. for this, I made this to sit normally at 8mm, with optional spacers to print with it at 0.25 & 0.5mm. or you can make your own and adjust them to your liking.
