Covid-19 Face-Shield

When Tyrol in Austria was affected by Covid-19, we were asked to design Face-Shields for medical staff, doctors, nurses and people working in the prison. We knew the printable versions like the Prusa Face Shields, but we were cautious in terms of production speed. We spent some time testing different materials that were available in our fablab and found a good combination with Polycarbonate 0.5mm and PETG 1mm.
Our aim was to reduce production time, use a small amount of different materials and work with screws instead of glue to create a rigid and yet comfortable to wear.
The mask can be lasercut in 2 min and assembled in about 5-8 min (depending if you have to remove the sheet that is protecting the plastic sheets)
