A flat-packable face shield that can be quickly and cheaply made with a laser cutter from readily available materials. 3mm MDF was used for the fame in this prototype, however, and similar material could be used, including bamboo, plastics, or even cardboard. The shield visor was mas made from 1mm PETG, however, and flexible clear plastic could be used, even a 2ltr soda bottle. Rubber edging trim and self-adhesive foam strip was used for added comfort. These are commonly available at most hardware stores.
There are two versions of the visor within the shared files: A full visor, and a half/half visor which can be stored in its halves and then snapped together when the shield is needed. The idea behind this shield design was to allow for a minimal footprint for storage and postage. No glue or fixatives are required for assembly, the frame slots together and snaps into the holes on the visor.
