#Overview
This is the COVID19 face shield design that has been approved by US National Institute of Health (NIH). Here is their site:
https://3dprint.nih.gov/discover/3dpx-013359
(Notice it has a protective hood that comes back above the face. This is what distinguishes it from other shields)
It's 191mm wide which is too big for my small printer, which has a 150mm^3 build area.
What I've done is I've chopped it in half so folks with small printers can still print these shields!
Here are my instructions for print and assembly:
#Parts
1. Both sides of the shield 3D printed using attached STL files (duh)
2. Hot glue gun. You can try SuperGlue, but I think the hot glue gun is better as it provides flexibility.
3. Clear acetate sheets (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07RFCM6X4/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1)
4. Hole puncher would be nice.
5. Rubber bands (for headband) (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08378GFVS/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_t
