Please don't print these!!! I am going to redesign these brackets, there is a clearance issue with the hot end that I didn't see initially. The usable height is rather limited! Sorry for the inconvenience!! Sept 13, 2018. The new and improved rev 2 can be found here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3108005
These are brackets for the CR-10S that help brace the vertical extrusions. The aluminum I used is ordinary 3/4 inch square aluminum tubing from your local hardware store. I cut them to 24 inches in length which gives some wiggle room. They look great and work very well! I set infill to 20% but I set the inner/outer wall thickness to 3 layers for extra strength. These were printed in PLA on tape, 200C/60C.
I designed these in Tinkercad, and it took 3 attempts to get the angle and clamp part just right. Mr. Pythagoras helped me calculate the angles.
If you make and install these insert the aluminum tubing into both brackets first. Also be sure to deburr the edge
