I created this replica CR2023 battery for tea lights because, during the holidays, I was going through a large number of disposable batteries. With this 3D-printed substitute, you can attach your own leads and power the tea lights using AA batteries instead. To assemble, take a wire on the backside where it’s labeled negative and loop it through one of the two center holes. Wrap it around twice, twist it tight, and clip the end. For the positive side, feed the wire through the hole leading to the outer circular indent, wrap it around, then run it back through the hole, twist it tight, and clip off the excess. I also added a small dab of hot glue just to keep the contacts separated, though this isn’t necessary if you keep the leads short.Once wired, connect the leads to two AA batteries, and you’re good to go. This setup allows you to run your tea lights for a long time without constantly replacing CR2023 batteries.
