This is a clip-on filament guide for the Creality Official Ender 3 V3 SE Filament Runout Sensor (https://store.creality.com/products/filament-detector-kit-for-ender-3-v3-se-and-ke).
Because spooled filament is naturally curved and the Creality Runout Sensor internal brass guides are straight, there is noticeable friction added on the filament when it passes through the sensor. This guide attempts to alleviate that friction by straightening the filament before it passes through the internal brass guides of the sensor.
This design incorporates threaded bowden tube press fittings at each end so bowden tubes can be added before and after the sensor.
I developed this design using PLA. Try out different filament types and leave a comment about your results!
#### Bowden tube press fitting installation
I heated the brass fittings with a heat gun and gently screwed the fittings into the printed holes at each end. The fittings can be removed and re-installed after everything cools again.
