Conversion of a Creatbot DX to e3d v5 hotends.
This worked really well, buy the E3d V5 hotends with bowden tube threads. The threads in the E3D head are not quite the same pitch as the creatbot screw adjusters but they are close enough. If I was doing it again I might try V6s and cut threads to fit the creatbot screw adjusters.
You will need to file the fins on the hotends slightly to make sure they fit side by side. I also drilled a small slot for the original creatbot thermistor in the heater block as the E3d ones are not compatible.
You do lose a small amount of Z travel
I have also replaced the bowden tube with an imperial one from E3d that has better tolerance than the creatbot 4mm tube. The tube now extends through the red block all the way to the hotend directly from extruders. You need to drill out the bowden coupling to do this but leaving the retaining spring.
The last mod was to put on some bond tech extruders, makes it quite reliable.
