It seemed to me that the square base of the prototype does not make any sense - just a waste of material. The weight of my foot is 12 g (if printed from ABS), the mass of the prototype is 19 g ==> on 4 foots I save 4x7 = 28 g of plastic. In my opinion, this is not bad!
