The flashforge creator 3 uses a combined heatbreak and part cooling fan that cannot stand still for longer periods of time. Caused by its combined nature, a long standstill leads to inproper cooling of the heatbreak and thus is not possible.
This creates some disadvantages on parts that need better cooling, or no cooling at all.
This cooling duct fits on the orriginal carriage and has a manual switch to turn on and off.
With it, you will experience less curling on overhangs and way better part cooling in general,- with all obvious benefits.
You need:
Print these models in ASA or ABS. Print normal and mirrored in the x axis.
A turbofan 5015, 24V
A small standard 3P SPDT switch. Main body dimensions: 10 x 5 x 5mm/0.39""x0.2""x0.2"" Total size: 19 x 15 x 6mm/0.75""x0.59""x0.24""
JST PH, cables (Male and Female) 2.54 mm pitch, to make a Y - connector. Check polarity! See pictures.
A soldering iron, solder, shrink-tubes.
Assembly:
Remove head cover, and replace the 2 par
