Crosscoil

This is four half-coils that meet at the top to form peaks, and at the bottom they meet a base with a spherical section cutout. My intention with this piece is to show off what the spool rotator can do with coextruded filaments:

This was printed at 50% scale in Gold/Green/Fuchsia coextruded filament by Amolen.

The colors actually spiral around the piece when you view it from different angles. It isn't actually a single rainbow sweep over the whole piece. Instead, every angle is its own unique phase-shifted rainbow.

It's a cosine of good things to come!
