The design I developed for NASA's challenge focuses on a magnetic coupling system for the safe and efficient transfer of cryogenic fluids in space. This coupling has been precisely engineered to ensure a hermetic seal and minimal leakage, taking into account the extreme temperature and pressure conditions it will face during space exploration missions. The use of magnets in the mechanism allows for quick and hands-free connection and disconnection, ideal for automated or robot-assisted operations in microgravity environments. Additionally, the modular and compact design is optimized to meet the specific dimensions and requirements of space applications, ensuring a consistent and controlled fluid flow while minimizing the risk of leaks or structural failures.
