This 3D model was created for the Astronomical Planet Design Contest on Creality Cloud. Inspired by the Minecraft style, it is based on real NASA maps to keep the proportions of continents and regions accurate, while still embracing an artistic approach. The design is composed of countless tiny cubes that form the overall shape, representing a voxel-style Earth in the form of a cube planet. Its hollow structure also allows it to function as a storage box.Initially, the model was designed in two parts, but later I reimagined it as a seven-part assembly to avoid the need for supports during 3D printing. This approach improves print efficiency, minimizes material waste, and makes the final product easier to assemble.⚠️ IMPORTANT TIPBefore printing the main parts, print the included test file first. This will help you fine-tune your printer for a perfect fit. Once you have the correct settings, print the main model parts using the same configuration from the test.If you have a color 3D printer, simply select the cubes in Creality Print and color them according to the filament colors you have. If you don’t have a color printer, you can still print in blue, pause, and then continue in green, as the orientation of the 3D model parts allows for this type of filament swapThe white areas represent the North Pole, and there’s also a South Pole at the bottom. If you enjoy the model, please give it a like! And if you end up printing it, I’d love to see your results — feel free to share some photos. I’ll be making more high-quality models soon and sharing them with you for free
