Cubes Desk Organizer

Did you know you should be storing your pens horizontally? It is much better for their longevity. I created this cubes organizer to store A LOT of pens in a small space in my desk, while still keeping them horizontally. Default cube size is 15cm x 15cm x 15cm. Cubes are connected with each other using small zip ties. I had attempts to connect them using 3D printed parts but they would require the shell to be a lot thicker. By attaching with zip ties, its secure in the position but keep a thinner shell. I printed mine with 0.6 nozzle but should be fine with 0.4 - it's only going to take longer. .scad file is included if you are feeling code adventurous on creating new divisions or different sizes.
