I made these labels in a laser-cutter to expose two 5-year old children to words. The more words children encounter before starting to read, the better prepared they are to learn to read.

The labels can also serve in the office to indicate the location of items.

In both cases, unscrew the handle, place the label in between the door and the handle, and screw back again. You may need to adjust the size and spacing to fit your drawers or desk: in these files, the large labels fit M5 screws and the small labels fit M4 screws.

The stylish design works both in portrait and landscape. For the office, the portrait label was too high to fit as a landscape to fit the drawer, so I added another smaller version.

The photos show fluorescent green, yellow, and orange with engraving at the back: these colors work well with back-engraving.

The photos also show fluorescent blue and red with engraving on both front and back: front-engraving is more legible.
