This Cura plugin raises a print off the printer bed and places a support structure underneath it. This allows the bottom layer to be printed in a way that is more consistent with other layers.
To get the most out of this plugin, you should change the Cura settings so that the Initial layer thickness matches the layer thickness and Initial layer line width is set to 100. This way, Cura will slice the part with all layers identical and this plugin will lift the print off the bed, add a support structure under the portion that would have contacted the bed and continue the Cura built support structure down to the bed everywhere else. The plugin also gives the ability to set the Initial layer thickness and Initial layer line width to make up for the fact that those options were changed before applying the plugin.
Note: The stl file is just an example where using the plugin allows you to get rid of a flat spot on the bottom of a print.
