I made these 2 designs using the same basic technique, but I only printed CurvyStar1. The curvy part is fairly obvious in both files, but the star part may not be.
The basic shape of CurveyStar1 is a Loft surface formed by a stack of 10 horizontal circular stars, each with 52 short points. The points are rounded (actually filleted) at the ends. The odd numbered stars are scaled to a smaller diameter than the even numbered ones, and all of them are scaled to give the overall curve to the side of the bowl.
CurveyStar2 is formed by sweeping a single wiggly vertical line around a base curve that is a12 sided star, again with filleted points. This one is lots easier to print because it is much simpler, so you might want to print this one first.
Both STL files can be scaled to smaller sizes if you want a smaller result.
