Custom Gear

It was too expensive to constantly replace the entire drive shaft which has to be machined with gear tooth. So what i did was reduce the torque exerted on the shaft than reduce the diameter of the shaft and bought a rod of gear cut it into smaller gears, machine key ways in the gear (wire cutting) and pressed keys into the shaft than fit it over into the gear ( Press fit). Managed to save the company a few thousands.
