This enclosure was purpose-built for a senior design project, engineered to provide structural protection, modular access, and component-level integration for a custom PCB assembly. Designed with manufacturability and mechanical integrity in mind, the model features tight dimensional tolerances, component clearance mapping, and fastening accommodations. 🔩 Design Features: Material: Fabricated in PETG, selected for its superior thermal resistance, impact strength, and dimensional stability over time. Fastening System: Integrated brass-threaded inserts and hexagonal nut traps allow for secure screw fastening, enabling repeatable access without compromising enclosure integrity. Port and Component Access: Strategically designed I/O cutouts, standoff supports, and ventilation slots ensure reliable electrical interfacing and passive thermal relief. Mounting Geometry: Internal bosses and locator pins ensure precise PCB alignment and vibration isolation under operational conditions. Print-Ready CAD: Fully optimized for FDM 3D printing with bridging, support minimization, and strength-optimized infill zones. This casing design is tailored to support iterative prototyping, bench testing, and final deployment, ensuring a robust mechanical interface between the PCB and its operating environment.
