Generate a one-line sign in any OpenSCAD supported typeface in a form that is reasonably easy to print. The sign will include individual caps for each letter, a bordered “holder” that collects the letters into a sign and an optional base to allow the sign to be placed on an even surface. The model supports an optional internal channel designed to facilitate the integration of LED light strips into the sign where the letter caps serve as the diffuser. Finally, the OpenSCAD program includes a simple facility to split long names into blocks of fixed width that could be placed on separate plates for printing and glued together later to make the complete sign. One can either run the web-based version of OpenSCAD (WASM build) provided on this webpage or one can download the .scad file locally and run it in a local OpenSCAD install.
