A customizable ruler

You can configure the length, width and thickness of the ruler, length and width of graduation lines, font, font size and many other options.

Fully functional! The measurements are precise and the lines drawn with this ruler are very clean.

Four Years ago, I published my first design on Thingiverse. This was also a ruler ! I designed it using Autodesk Fustion 360 software but it was not customizable at all.

Since then I discovered modeling with Openscad and realized that modeling a ruler in Openscad was not that complicated.

So here it is.

If you have not already OpenScad, a free and light 3D modeling software, use the online Customizer tool available here to customize your Ruler and generate the stl file.

But the best is to have the OpenScad software installed on your computer.

Under OpenScad:

1 - Open the ruler.scad file

2 - Edit the paramaters that are at the beginning of the scad file to personalize your battery holder
