This is a snap together hinge that you can add to your projects. The Customizer allows you to adjust the tolerances and measurements to fit your printer accuracy and project needs. So far I have tested this out on the Kerrby printer at The Bellingham Foundry Makerspace.
I suggest printing without supports. The code needs to be cleaned up a little, but future updates should not affect functionality.
The hinges shown in the photo were made with the following settings:
Large hinge on the left:
$fn = 70
tabThickness = 2
tabWidth = 6
tabSeperation = 3
tabTolerance = 0.5
pivotTolerance = 2
directDiameter = 5
indentWidth N/A
diameterOrWidth = 0 Use ball Diameter
ballTolerance = 0.3
backLength = 5
ballRatio = .3
Small hinge on the right:
$fn = 70
tabThickness = 1.75
tabWidth = 4
tabSeperation = 2
tabTolerance = 0.5
pivotTolerance = 2
directDiameter N/A
indentWidth = 3.2
diameterOrWidth = 1 Use indent width
ballTolerance = 0.25
backlength = 3
ballRatio = .3
