Inspired by the impossible passthroughs that have been popping up lately, I thought it would be fun to try to use the idea with a Chess set.Often when playing chess, pieces are very prone to falling over. This design solves that problem. You can even lean the board sideways and the pieces will not fall out. No magnets needed. The cyberpunk tile design is completely modular so it can very easily be put together in any orientation. It can even be fun to experiment with different board layouts or sizes. 0.4mm nozzle, 0.2 layer height. 3 walls, gyroid infill. All the pieces used an outer brim and basic supports touching the build plate. After printing and support removal, a small section of 1.75mm colored filament is inserted into the bottom of each piece and cut to length. Then the spin base is glued into the indented area on the bottoms. (CA glue or Superglue)The tiles will print without any supports and minimal color changes. Each tile connects to the one beside it using 2 clips.(224 total)T
