The Dactyl Air is a handwired split keyboard, based on the Dactyl Manuform keyboard, with 36 keys in total.

The focus for the design was on ergonomics with no numbers row and no outer pinkie columns for less hand and finger movement. It was kept as low as possible which makes it comfortable to use without wrist rests.

It is made for:

- [Kailh Choc](http://www.kailh.com/en/Products/Ks/CS/) key switches
- Pro Micro compatible microcontrollers: [Pro Micro](https://learn.sparkfun.com/tutorials/pro-micro--fio-v3-hookup-guide/hardware-overview-pro-micro), [Elite-C](https://deskthority.net/wiki/Elite-C), [Nice!Nano](https://nicekeyboards.com/nice-nano)...
- [Loligagger's external holder](https://dactyl.siskam.link/loligagger-external-holder-elite-c-v1.stl) to hold the microcontrollers and the TRRS jacks.
