Daeodon was a large, prehistoric entelodont, often referred to as a "hell pig" or "terminator pig," that lived during the Late Oligocene to Early Miocene epochs, around 29 to 19 million years ago. Measuring about 3.6 meters (12 feet) in length and standing around 1.8 meters (6 feet) tall at the shoulder, it was characterized by its massive skull, strong jaws, and sharp teeth, which suggest it was an omnivorous and potentially aggressive predator. Daeodon had a robust, bulky build with long legs, indicating it was likely a swift runner. Fossils of Daeodon have been primarily found in North America, providing valuable insights into the diversity and adaptations of early mammalian megafauna.
