It opens and closes, and the key is removable in both states. I overdid it a little, as the mechanism to hold the leaver can slide up and down so a complete 360° turn is possible, which also "disables" the lock to avoid closing it completely (child proof? :-) )

Not as neat as my last thing http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:17822 but I am glad I figured out something that actually works at this scale!

I love making tiny things I love thingiverse... even withthe new design. *keeps on ranting* Multi file upload > New design ... Someone please write a Thingiverse client that processes a folder with images and textfile descriptions :-)

Anywayy - - - Again, I did not skip an earring, but as it did not print nice I did not upload yesturday's design. Can you believe it? A simple spoon-knife-fork earring gave me so much trouble, but this one worked right away- so here it is.
