You know when you want to create some atmosphere, but without risking setting your house, your cat, or your rental contract on fire? That’s where Dark Shell comes in: the LED tealight holder that looks like it came straight out of a Nordic art film… but 3D printed. A gothic-minimal shell, elegant on the outside, warm on the inside, wrapping your candle as if it were the last hope of humanity in a post-apocalyptic world. ...In reality it’s just PLA, but it looks damn good. Important note about coloring (read this before complaining 😏): The model in the photos is printed in matte black and hand-colored with acrylic markers to achieve the golden effect inside. If instead you’re lazy, impatient, or simply don’t want to get your hands dirty, the package also includes a pre-colored 3MF file, ready for multicolor printing. Materials used in the photos: Outer shell: PLA Matte Black – Kexcelled Inner shell: PLA Silk Gold – Sunlu But you can use pretty much any material: PLA, PETG, resin… it doesn’t judge, it illuminates. Printing specs: Printer: FDM or Resin (yes, even the one that sounds like a jet engine) Material: Anything, but PLA works beautifully (PLA = true love, the others are toxic relationships) Material usage: ~36 g if you hand-paint it, about 470 g if you use the multicolor 3MF (from “light snack” to “Christmas dinner”) Print time: ~24 hours for the multicolor model, about 6 hours if printed all black and painted with acrylics (choose: full Netflix binge or just one episode) Supports: not needed! (just like in your emotional life) Nozzle: 0.2 mm (small, but it gets big things done) Fuzzy skin: classic noise, 0.2 mm distance, 0.2 mm thickness (“sexy velvet mode” activated) It’s just a candle holder. But you’re just a person too. And yet, here we are.
