I have taken up black and white film photography and I decided if I was going to do that, I should develop my own film and print my own prints in the darkroom. Most of the equipment I needed was relatively easy to find but the enlarger was expensive and hard to find, so I made my own. I used a light bulb in a standard lamp fitting and a camera lens attached to a 3d printed box on a tripod with a lot of black tape and rubber bands to hold it all together. I was able to get some decent prints with this first version, but it involved a lot of re-taping everything between photos.
This is a redesigned version of a darkroom enlarger that should be able to do 35mm film or 120 film.
You will need a camera lens, a tripod and a light source in addition to a number of m3 and m5 bolts and nuts.
I have included the SCAD file so that you can make your own modifications if you are crazy enough to try printing this, but I should warn you: the code is a mess.
This is still very much a work in prog
