David lamp
Illuminate your space with a fusion of classical elegance and modern digital distortion. The David Lamp is a striking lighting fixture that reimagines Michelangelo’s masterpiece through a fluid, topographical lens, turning a timeless bust into a functional work of glowing art.
Design & Concept:
I designed this lamp to explore how light interacts with complex, organic surfaces. The silhouette of David is transformed by deep horizontal ripples that flow across the facial features, creating a "wavering" effect that feels alive when illuminated.
This project is more than just a sculpture; it is a dedicated light housing. The top of the bust is designed with a specific opening to accommodate a lamp socket, allowing the light to spill out from the crown of the head. This creates a dramatic upwards glow while highlighting the intricate "wave" textures of the face and hair in high relief.
Key Features:
Sculptural Lighting: A functional lamp that serves as a high-end ar
