DB9 pin classic Joystick plug enclosure design for making new joystick plugs (ones like you'd find on the C64's, Amiga's or Atari's etc)
The plug consists of three parts. A top half, bottom half and the connector core piece, where the wiring and contacts mount in place.
The top and bottom position together around the core, with a single screw, clamping the piece strongly for reliable repeat use in the joystick ports. The core's holes take nine of this kind of **[socket contact](https://www.te.com/en/product-794958-1.html)** below...

...which can be soldiered to the joystick's wiring cables, extending out the back of the plug to the the joystick.
