Some cool ready to print tools require a certain DC motor you just can't find online with the exact dimensions needed. So I made an extender that you can just glue on top of your motor to make it fit!
--> Configurable OpenSCAD file!
1. order a motor
- same diameter as needed (if you find one that is like 0.5mm smaller just glue 2-3 sheets of paper on it to make it a litle bit thicker)
- smaller height as needed (some websites state motor heights from the beginning or end of the shaft, others from this cylindrical elevation at the shaft, so be careful! Better buy a little bit shorter motor than a too large one!)
2. download the .scad file and open it with OpenSCAD
3. adjust the variables on the very top to make the extender fit onto your motor
4. render and print
5. glue it on top of your motor
I hope this helps! Leave a comment and let me know!
