I modelled my player 2 (right side) DDR/ITG pad as an exercise to learn the basics of Fusion 360.
This model is in 1:1 scale, so when you bring it into your slicer you'll want to scale it down. I scaled mine down to 1:10 and it makes a nice size for a desk toy/coaster.
The bar and button panels are removable/swappable. I've modelled the DDR and ITG bar. In reality the ITG/PIU bars are slightly wider than the DDR ones but I wanted them to be swappable with the same base so they are both the same.
The pad has some very small holes on the bottom for optional levelling feet. The feet just raise the pad off the ground like a real arcade pad, so it makes it look a little more realistic. Additionally, there are 4 larger holes on the bottom of the pad which are so you can get the panels out. The panels fit pretty tight in the switch frames so if you want to pop them out, stick a pencil or something through those holes.
Future plans:
- Model a PIU bar
- Model a PIU frame and pan
