DeathStar Lamp with E27 Socket – Magnetic Mount

This print profile is a remix of the model by RicksToys.My goal was to simplify the mounting flange for standard lamp sockets and make the whole setup easier and cleaner to assemble. I redesigned the interface to work with a typical E27 socket (Ø 40 mm) and replaced the original mounting system with a magnetic ring. The ring uses three embedded magnets (Ø 6 mm × 3 mm), which are inserted during a print pause included in the profile. The magnet pockets are intentionally oversized (Ø 6.4 mm × 3.4 mm) so tolerances don’t matter and the magnets simply drop into place. No glue is needed — since the pockets sit only 0.6 mm above the build plate, the magnets are held securely for the rest of the print. Alongside the modified Death Star lampshade flange, I also designed a matching three-leg base (110 mm tall), which embeds the same magnets using the same pause-to-insert method.
