This is my submission to the "Make It Loud" challenge.
It is a ten-in-one whistle combo that shrieks with 10 independent tone holes and channels.
According to my iPhone 5s app, "Decibel 10th", the Quadtone Blastoid read at 103 decibels (three consecutive trials per the attached screenshot)... not a bad showing but I was sure I could do better.
So, I isolated the loudest hole from the Quadtone Blastoid and just repeated that geometry for all 10 of the Decatone Blastoid holes. The result is the most shrill thing I've ever heard, even though it takes a lot of breath to get it going with all 10 holes exposed. So, just as the picture above suggests, cover some of the holes so that you can get a louder and more sustained blast according to your lung capacity.
Nonetheless, I still read 103 db max (though I can clearly hear one is louder than the other)... so I may be saturating my iPhone's capacity to register high-amplitude sound waves.
Also, I rounded the mouthpiece so tha
