I made this with a CNC milling machine. Out of Multiplex wood. All pieces slot together with no glue.

You can also cut out the parts with a jig saw or scroll saw.
I recommend a CNC milling machine for better precision.

3 mm and 9mm deep **grooves are highly recommended** for bike rack use. This design stabilize the whole structure and make it possible to fabricate it out of 12 mm Multiplex wood.
The head can hold up to 10kg bikes.

Perfect project for hand-held CNC machine like Shaper (https://shapertools.com/)
