I spend the vacation cleaning up in my office and building a new desk. I wanted the docking station out of the way, but still accessible, so I decided to mount it in the board between the desk and a shelf behind the desk.
I made two version - top mounted and bottom mounted. Note that you should only have to print one pair of files - one left and one right.
The version was the top mounted, but the moment I had mounted it, I realized that I have to get the shelf down occasionally to run new cables behind it.
Therefore I made a secind version, that is mounted in the board below instead. This way I should be able to remove the shelf without first having to disconnect the docking station.
The board I mounted the docking station in is 27mm thick, but the mounts should work fine for other thickness's.
I can see that Dell has multiple docking stations that seems they might fit this mount. The brackets should therefore work if you have a docking station that is 77mm deep and 30
