Delta III

The Delta III was evolved from the Delta II featuring a shortened but strengthened first stage and an upper stage expanded to 4m. The Delta III was flown 3 times between 1998 and 2000 with the first 2 launches being failures and the last being a partial success. The upper stage of the Delta III would go on to become the highly successful Delta IV upper stage.
