The Derwent River Seastar is a now extinct seastar that used to be found in five locations throughout Tasmania's Derwent River.
This model was reproduced from a compressed low-resolution CT scan data provided by Tim O'Hara and Christy Hipsley from Museums Victoria (under creative commons licence BY4.0 link below.) Two STL files are provided. One is the raw conversion from TIFF stack direct to STL the other is the repaired STL for printing. The repaired model still possess flipped normals but prints without issue. Should this file cause issues, the model has also been fixed using Netfabb free online service.
