Our original cable guide (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4618230) failed because our workspace gets warm enough, and we had enough cables, that the hot glue failed. We needed a new cable guide.
Our new cable guide adds an 11/64" screw hole (chamfered) in the base and puts a hole through the bottom of the hook large enough for a screwdriver. We thickened the base (3/8" from 1/4"), increased the hook fillet for strength, and made it taller (3/4" up from 1/2").
Along the way we made the base a bit shorter (1 3/4" from 2") although the hook is curved so the _overall_ footprint is greater, it's under 2". It's also less "pointy" so it'll hold more cableage. The cable opening "slot" is around 1/4" but is flexible enough to allow shoving larger cables in.
We've been using 1" #6 screws with a coarse thread (like a drywall screw so we don't have to drill a pilot hole in the target) and it appears plenty sturdy, even in particle board, but we thought that last time, too. It seems pret
