Designed a headphone rest for my Beyerdynamic DT990's (headband has a depth of 36mm) and figured I'd post here as it's my first design! You can theoretically print without supports; I've just never tried it because I didn't fully trust the overhangs on the hexagon. I also quickly made a surface-mount holder for use with 3M tape that can be easily printed without any supports. This one will fit on a desk with a maximum thickness of 35mm.

You'll need:
1x M8 hex bolt
1x M8 nut
(Optional) Print an M8 thumbscrew by RickHuisman (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3050612)

The nut should friction-fit nicely, but it's alright if it's loose as the downward force exerted by the bolt will keep it in place (or you could super-glue it in place if you like things solid like me).

Happy printing!
