I grew tired of cables and plugs getting stuck between my desks and walls, so I designed these standoffs.
They snap apart easily, and I use two per desk.
They're in a cluster for easier storage in tool bags.
Screw these into the back edge of a desk using Size 8 or Size 10 screws (1-1½ inch length should be fine), drill pilot holes first if the wood is dense to prevent splitting.
This will allow a two inch buffer between the desk and the wall for your cables to move freely, and prevent them from being crushed or pinched. I find it helpful for installing or changing out equipment as standard power plugs can be passed down the back of the desk.
