This improved hinge design lets you fully separate the lid and the base of the Gridfinity storage box.It includes two hinge variants: one uses a snap-in pin so insertion and removal have a bit of controlled resistance.the other has no snap-in structure, just like normal two part hinge. ( One side is slightly longer to make insertion easier.) Using one snap-in hinge is totally fine in most cases, but if you want a more stable and secure connection, you can use snap-in hinges on both sides. Other changes :I also adjusted the snap-fit tabs where the hinge connects to the lid and base, making the fit less overly tight so it’s easier to push in and pull out without struggling. Printing Advice:it’s recommended to print the two hinge halves separately rather than printing them as one assembled part.PETG is recommended.
