Devilman – My Vision

This is Devilman as seen through my eyes. I wanted to portray him as a powerful and imposing statue, with wide open wings and surrounded by flames, to capture all his strength and darkness. For me, Devilman is not just a character, but a symbol of the inner struggle between light and shadow.He was the good demon, the one who chose to fight for good despite his dark nature. In my mind, I can still hear the words of the opening theme:“Like a little angel, you will fly in the sky if you fall in love…” A contrast I tried to sculpt in this vision, where the light of love collides with the damnation of darkness.I know that many younger generations may not know him. Devilman was born as a manga by Go Nagai in 1972 and later became an anime series that marked an entire generation. A dark and revolutionary story for its time, telling the conflict between humanity and demons, but also the fragility and hope of mankind.
